Milkweed Books is proud to present writer, publisher, and illustrator Kristen Radtke, author of the new graphic memoir, Imagine Wanting Only This. A personal and historical narrative of loss and decay, Radtke's acclaimed debut has already received high praise from Kirkus, The Millions, Nylon, and more. Radtke will appear in conversation with Angela Pelster-Wiebe, Assistant Professor at Hamline University and author of Limber (Sarabande, 2014). Join us for a lively and insightful discussion, good company, and beautiful books!
Kristen Radtke is a writer and illustrator based in Brooklyn. She is the author of Imagine Wanting Only This her acclaimed graphic memoir debut (Pantheon, 2017). She is the managing editor of Sarabande Books and the film & video editor of TriQuarterly magazine. She has an MFA from the University of Iowa's Nonfiction Writing Program.
Angela Pelster-Wiebe's essays have appeared in Granta, The Gettysburg Review, Seneca Review, The Globe and Mail, Relief Magazine, and others. She is the author of Limber, a collection of essays charting the world’s history through trees. She has an MFA from the University of Iowa's Nonfiction Writing Program and lives with her family in Saint Paul, where she teaches at Hamline University.
