Language lessons Now that I have made my best career move to Grandma, I am trying to gender-neutral my language, but I find it difficult. So many years of "he" are hard to filter out. I catch myself even referring to animals in the male gender. Persistence is progress, though, as I say, "Here comes the mail carrier!" [SheSaid column by Shannon Drury, MWP, January 2017]
