Often in book groups at the BookWomen Center for Feminist Reading we hear, "Wouldn't it be wonderful to visit the places we're reading about?" Well, Reading on the Road groups give readers a chance to do just that.
Reading on the Road groups offer you a new way to travel. We take time to experience the landscapes we've read about, meet local readers and writers, visit bookshops and libraries—all in the company of other book lovers. Traveling off the beaten path interests us, as does meeting new people, seeing new things, and facing surprises with equanimity. We go with the flow.
In every Reading on the Road group event, you can expect lively book discussions, intellectual stimulation, camaraderie with sister readers, new insights, and lots of laughter.
Our adventures are unique. We design each trip to be a one-of-a-kind excursion. We aim to introduce readers to books and writers they might never discover otherwise. We explore new ideas and new places, in the company of kindred spirits.
We hope you can join us—and be sure to check out our Reading Retreats.
