Ten years and counting
Tami Mohamed Brown is such a talented writer! [MWP, SheSaid, Oct. 2011] I find her columns so profound and full of insight into the things we think but just can't put into the words that she is able to articulate so beautifully. The topics are all at once deeply felt, universal and important in our lives and society. Yet, she tells the stories in a gentle, factual and important way that makes you think-like you should. Thanks, Tami! Pam Adamczak, Duluth
I am a 29-year-old female trying to successfully take over one business, run another, work to cover the bills and make time to spend with my sister who is in the hospital. Every day is a new challenge, hurdle, adventure, tear, laugh and personal conquest.
My story is too long for two paragraphs. [MWP, YourThoughts: Comfort Zone, Oct. 2011] Even on my lowest days, the days I am most out of my comfort zone, I know those days will make me stronger and appreciate the future days when my full plans are into play and my hard work and sleepless nights pay off, making this difficult journey worth every minute.
Thank you for your publication. It is a joy to read about other women taking risks and enjoying the road of life. We are an amazing gender and our voices need to be heard. Anita Jensen, St. Paul
THANK YOU MWP! I am always amazed, surprised and challenged with every issue's new topics and stories, and gain new knowledge and insights. Christine Elizabeth Nunez's "Listen and build" brought me to tears [MWP, OnYourMind, Oct. 2011], as did Flower Child's posting [WordsAndPictures, "1968" exhibit]. EVERY writer and story brought me something new, inspirational and useful, from "Clutter Control" to "Begin Again" to articles on living a creative and challenging life-the arts, dance and painting, ski jumping, even lice control! Beyond "Go Girl" ... "Go Women!" Carol Cochran, Minneapolis
The listing for the League of Women Voters/Minneapolis appeared incorrectly as part of the DFL Feminist Caucus in the Minnesota Women's Directory. [MWP, Sept. 2011, page 64] The LWV/Mpls is a nonpartisan organization and not affiliated with any political party. MWP regrets this error.
