The work of the Dalai Lama's sister
Minnesota immigration attorney Ngawang Dolkar speaks about the value of Tibetan Children's Village at a St. Paul event that honored the "Mother of Tibet," Jetsun Pema (sister of the Dalai Lama). The mayors of St. Paul and Minneapolis declared 11/17/2018 to be "Jetsun Pema Day," to honor her work for more than 40 years in India and elsewhere to educate Tibetan refugee children about their cultural identity. As Pema told MWP in an interview, in addition to learning the Tibetan language and arts, teaching the Tibetan way is about: “How to be a good human being. The culture of compassion. The culture of interdependence. Compassion has no borders.” #MWPImmigration #MWPVideo
